Muay Thai in Turin like in Bangkok

We offer the official statement sent to us by our friend Angelo Baglio:

“Last saturday (20 July) ,Vinovo’s rececourse (Turin, Italy) transformed in a small Bangkok. The “Top Kombat Confederation” (Angelo Baglio, president) organized  a wonderful day dedicated to Muay Thai.
It started at 15.00 with the stage of the Thai Sak Kaoponlek, an afternoon dedicated to the technique, followed by about 60 participants.
At 18.00 weight and visits of ritual . After a well-deserved dinner it started the presentation of the fighters on the ring and a Pad’s demostration by Sak Kaoponlek, who excited the audience.
After the Mae Mai demonstration by Master Andrea Molon and one of his instructors, the event moved to the fights. Six fights in total:
first one Arben Fjerca of Tiger’s Temple gym (of Master Moise Riggi) against Matteo De Luca of Sanpayak (of Masters Cangelosi) and ended draw. Good fight technique by the two athletes, who respond hit on hit and at the end the judges decree draw.
The second fight (the only with protection), it was between Carpaneto Luca of Tiger’s Temple and Alessandro Liuni of Sport Gym (of Master Lannunziata). After a first round of study, Alessandro is able to take home a earned Victory, exploiting his long arts.
The third fight has at the red corner Saulig Marzio of Tiger’s Temple, against the blue corner Sentiljano Kakocaj of DMS team, (of Cristian De Martinis). Marzio after a balanced first round, accelerate and takes home the victory. The combination was the key of his victory: Right direct, right elbow. Congratulations to Sentiljano too.
The fourth fight as at the red corner Farruku Alkid of X 1 Boxing (Casale) of master Aldo Re and at the blue corner Cristofanini Andrea of Sanpayak (Genoa). Few blows exchange, Andrea accelerates and domains his opponent in clinch and by knees, doing like this he wins the first round. In the second round, Cristofanini starts hard and strong, after counting his opponent for the first time, after 37 seconds he wins by KO (liver knee).
The fifth fight, saw Massimiliano Mingoia of Tiger’s Temple against Ruben Sciortino of Orvasha Muay Thai (of master Claudio Petarra). Massimiliano is a fresh Italian Champione while for Ruben, with a great desire to win, was his first fight after months of stop because of an injury (caused by a fight, where he won the European title). A spectacular fight, the greatest of the event. Intense and strong blow exchange, in a fight where Ruben is more determinated and active. Supported by the local audience he wins the fight. Congratulations to both of the fighter who excited the audience.  Ruben Sciortino was awarded as the best fighter of the event.
The last fight: European woman title WFC-World Fighters Council (where in Italy is rappresented by Top Kombat Confederation ) – Muay Thai – 57 kg. At the red corner Perla Bragagnolo (X1 Boxing (Turin) of Master Marco Franza), Italian Champion with over 100 fights . At the blue corner a new fighter that a month ago, had beaten the dutch World Champion Roxana Gaal. Martine fights for the Gym Fighting Club (Valle D’Aosta) of Master Manuel Bethaz. After a first equilibrated round of study, Martine throws deadly low kicks winning all five rouds. But Perla could only prepare 5 days before for the fight, since she replaced a french fighter who gived forfait 5 days before the fight.
