A new international Muay Thai (and MMA) promotion is on the horizon, and it has all the cards to be great one. Phoenix Fighting Championship is a Lebanese promotion and its first event, Phoenix One, will take place next December 10th 2016 at Nouhad Nawfal Stadium in the town Zouk Mikael, Lebanon.
The main event will be a fight every Muay Thai fan in the world will want to watch, as superstar Buakaw Banchamek will face Belarus Muay Thai star Andrei Kulebin for the 70kg Phoenix title belt.
The co-main event will see current WBC World Champion from France, Morgan Adrar and a very active fighter in Thailand, Anvar Boynazarov from Uzbekistan will face off in a 67kg bout.
Phoenix FC seems to be doing a good job promoting the event and working well on social media as well, in fact last October they already hosted the fighters involved in the main event for a pre-fight press conference, which is something we don’t normally see in Muay Thai events, especially so far out from fight week.
