This weekend will be a truly amazing one for the Muay Thai fans all over the world and in Thailand as well, as Lumpinee Stadium is celebrating its 60th birthday in a stunning fashion. The usual Lumpinee Champions Show is going down tonight (Friday 9th December 2016) and as always it will feature great names and exciting match-ups, with 2 Lumpinee and 3 Thailand titles on the line.
The main event will see the newly crowned ‘Lumpinee Stadium fighter of the year’, elbow KO artist, Muangthai PKSaenchaiMT against current Channel 7 Stadium Champion, Yodpanomrung Jitmuangnon. Both fighters have had a great year and to finalize it they will battle for the 140 pounds Thailand belt (agreed fight weight is 136lbs).
The co-main event will be the one a rematch between Petchmorakot Petchyindee and Manasak Sor Jor LekMuangnon, the pair fought last September and Manasak had the upper hand. This one will surely be another exciting fight as there is a great rivalry between the two, since Petchmorrakot represents Petchyindee promotions and Manasak represents Kiatpetch promotions, which is also the one organizing this event. Those are the 2 top promotions in Thailand.
Another amazing match-up will be the one between ‘Sport Writers Fighters of the Year’ and current Lumpinee Stadium champion at 126 pounds, Panpayak Jitmuangnon against current Channel 7 Stadium champion Rodlek Jaotalaytong. Rodlek had a great year, beating some big names and now he gets the chance to fight one of the strongest and most confident fighters around at the moment. Panpayak will give Rodlek a 2 pounds advantage (127 and 129lbs).
Another re-match on this card will be the one between current 140 pounds Lumpinee Stadium champion, Chamuaktong FighterMuayThai and former 135 pounds Lumpinee champion Chujaroen DabranSarakam. The two fought last September and Chamuaktong was the winner on points.
