Mathias & Carlos Muay Farang at the WPMF Prince Cup in Bangkok
The Muay Farang Team Captain returns to fight in an event organized by one of the most important Muay Thai federations of the World: WPMF, that after the critics received in the past years now reacts with some true facts, thanks also to the collaboration of big names such as Samart Payakaroon, Tim Darmajva & Rob Cox.
The event is supported by the most important Thai positions: Ministry of Tourism & Sports / Sports Authority of Thailand (SAT) / The Professional Boxing Association of Thailand (PAT) and will be live broadcasted from SanamMar NarngLung this Saturday (25/07/2015) (TV 20:00 -22:00 on Siam Sport Live). The event is hel in honor of HRH The Crown Prince of Thailand.
On July, 2013 Mathias won the World WPMF 135lbs title by defeating the Spanish champion Juan Mario Kaewsamrit in a fantastic and exciting match (News & Video).
The year after (2014) Mathias lost against Captain Ken Pinsinchai (Th), in a much debated fight (News + Video). Today, Mathias didn’t ask for a rematch because of weight problems and tries in a higher category: 140 lbs (63,5 Kg) and so on 25th July 2015, Mathias will face Alexander Arutyunyan (Russia) for the “Somsak Thepsutin” trophy. A possibility for the World title will be discussed if Mathias will feel comfortable to fight in this category, since he’s also 1st in his category ranking: 1) มาเธียส แกลโล คาวาริโน่ (อิตาลี) / Mathias Gallo Cassarino (Italy)
In the card there’s also an other Muay Farang pillar who’s also training at ‘7 Muay Thai GYM‘ in Rayong, we talking about the Spanish Carlos Coello who’ll face the strong Thai Petchankarn Kaewsamrit.
Carlos is ranked 5th in his category ranking and in front of him there are only Thais and a Japanese: 5)คารอส โคเอลโร่ (สเปน) / Carlos Coello (Spain) . And so for him, a big opportunity for the a world title possibilty.
