Hereunder results of the Italian National team (Fight1) fighting at the prestigious WMF Championships (World MuayThai Federation) at the Muay Thai “Mecca“: Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok.

We remember that the team is lead by Master Nicola Cavarello (Fight1), Francesco Pellegrino and Fabio Siciliani as team coordinator.

  • The -60kg  Andrea Vella won the first match against a South African athlete and lost the next fight aa Portuguese fighter (Dinamite Team)
  • The young Nak Muay Devin Parenti, who trained for 2 months at 7 Muay Thai Gym, lost against the strong Russian Andrey Zakopaylo.
  • The first Italian gold medalist is Federico Agostino  (-81kg) who defeated in the final a Lebanese athlete
  • The -71kg athlete Fabio Puce fought a great match against a Portuguese fighter (Dinamite Team) but losing on points.
  • The -63.5kg athlete Francesco di Cristo fought and lost on points against an Afghan opponent, who then retired from the tournament and Francesco was picked up to fight against with big heart against a Thai opponent, but losing on points and bringing home the bronze medal.
  • The -75kg Enrico Carraga lost on points a great fight against a Portuguese athlete (Dinamite Team).
