Another farang wins Lumpinee belt: the triumph of Rafi Bohic

Frenchman Rafi Bohic conquered the the welterweight divison belt (147 pounds) in what is considered the temple of Muay Thai, Bangkok’s Lumpinee Stadium. Before him, only 2 other french fighters were able to win the belt: Mourad Sari and Damien Alamos. This was the second attempt for Rafi, against local nak muay Pongsiri P.K. Saenchaimuaythai. The first time he lost by decision but this time he came out on top. There was a weight difference between the fighters and also quite low compared to the title weight (141.8 lbs for the thai and 144 lbs for the french fighter).
