Video: Pongsiri defeated Rafi for Lumpinee 147lbs title

Pongsiri Por. Siripong (current “Channel 7” 147 pounds champion) weighed-in at 141 pounds this morning giving two pounds of advantage to Rafi Bohic, who weighed -in at 143 pounds. Couriously, the fight was for the vacant 147 pounds Lumpinee Stadium belt.

On the ring the size difference was very noticeable, however, it was a great fight. The Thai managed to land a precise counter elbow in the second round that put the French down for an 8- count, Rafi got up and the fight kept going and less than a minute later he landed an elbow that cut Pongsiri. We can say it was a close fight in the exchanges, even though Pongsiri had the upper hand in the clinch; finally, in the opinion of the judges Bohic did not do enough to make up for the knock down.
