Video: Youssef Boughanem KOs Kompetchlek for Raja 160lbs Title

Following the controversial ending of the first fight between Youssef Boughanem and Kompetchlek Lookprabat, which took place during “Best of Siam 8” at Rajadamnern Stadium last May 27th 2016, where Kompetchlek won the Raja 160 pounds title after receiving a hard knee to the groin which caused Youssef‘s disqualification; the Belgian/Moroccan fighter was granted a rematch last August 31th 2016.

It was a very close fight, where in the expert’s opinion the Thai fighter was having the upper hand up until the 4th round where Boughanem landed a vicious knee followed by a body shot that ended the fight.
The relief mixed with the joy triggered a very questionable reaction from Boughanem, which might be seen as disrespectful towards the opponent, we don’t normally see this kind of celebrations in Muay Thai.

Curiously, we noticed that this time Youssef fought with the Saengmorakot gym name, instead of his own gym name, as we can see here.
