Channel 7 Stadium

The Channel 7 Stadium or generally called in Thai «Sanam Muay Chong Jed » is the third most important Stadium in Thailand

The stadium actually is big Television Studio (Channel 7) with a ring in the middle of it.

The stadium and the tv channel are entirely managed by the «Royal Thai Army».

In 1972 Channel 7 begun to live broadcasted once a week Muay Thai events on TV.

Today Muay Thai shows are aired from the stadium every Sunday (from 13.45) and every 3rd Wednesday of the month (from 12.00).

Curiosity:

The stadium is placed behind the old Northen Bus Terminal – Morchit, so it’s easy to arrive near the stadium by taking the BTS (Skytrain – Morchit stop).

Unlike many other Thai stadiums, the entrance of Channel 7 St. is totally free (standing place) while the VIP seat costs 300 Baht.
