Toyota Marathon – Muay Thai – Kanchanaburi 31 May 2013

Vahid Shahbazi (Iran), 23 years old, Bronze at IFMA, surprises everyone and wins the Toyoya Cup 63Kg of May 31, 2013.  It was favored the ex-champion “Jaroenthong” (Thai), famous for having fought and beat Ramon Dekkers in 1993. It was allowed, Jaroenthong, to pass the first round of fights (without fighting). The youngest fighter at this tournament was Mathias Gallo Cassarino, Muayfarang team of the prestigious Sitsongpeenong Gym. The italian Mathias, as well as being the youngest in the tournament, he was also, with the Belgian Nabil, the lightest, considering he usually fight around 60Kg. The heaviest fighter was Anvar Boynazarov (Uzbekistan), that he weights around 63Kg, excatly like the Iranian Vahid Shahbazi who at last won.

Mathias led a good fight, even thought his shots have appeared under-permorming compared to the Uzbek, who passed the turn and then was beaten by knee K.O. by the Iranian who won against the Thai (who finished stamina at first round) in the final fight.
