In the -68kg 4 Man Tournament Bobo Sacko defeated the Thai champion Petchboonchu.

The night featured 2 main events:

Sittichai Sitsongpeenong  vs Crice Boussoukou (France) & Mathias Gallo Cassarino (Kem MT Gym) vs Ayoub El Khaidar (France).

In the -70kg category (5×3) Sittichai Sitsongpeenong defeated on pts the French/Italian Crice Boussoukou.

Regarding Mathias, before writing this article, we wanted to ask the different opinions from various sources who were at the border ring: firstly the french, then Thais (obviously for their know-how about the MT scoring) and lastly the Italians. We would have loved to share great News to our fans and readers but unfortunately we have to say that Muay Farang Team captain, lost on points. Hereunder we report an authoritative French source: Link.

mathias-gallo-cassarino-nuit-des-titans-7-2-15-petchboonchu-fa-group-bobo-sacko-sitthichai-sitsongpeenong- (2)This verdict is a shame, it has made many unhappy and firstly the organization lead by one of the most important European promoters: Mr. Hadj Mekedem, who after the verdict felt obliged to go on the ring and lift up the real winner’s arm: Mathias Gallo Cassarino. This was his official statement “Mathias normalement vainqueur”.  At the end, what really counts, is that the audience applauded, and cheered and Mathias for his signature.

The audience was very satisfied of the great fights and of an event full of great names featuring Petchboonchu, Sittichai Sitsongpeenong, Crice Boussouku, Mohamed Souane (Team Alamos) who defeated Sébastien Billard and the ladies with the unstoppable Anissa Meksen who defeated the Thai Phet Yodyng by KO.  Unfortunately Karim Bennoui was absent, he would originally had to fight Mathias but eventually chose to fight K1 in Japan and lost by TKO (cut) against the strong Urabe Hirotaka( video). A big shame and in the future we hope to see the fight between Mathias and Karim.

mathias-gallo-cassarino-nuit-des-titans-7-2-15-petchboonchu-fa-group-bobo-sacko-sitthichai-sitsongpeenong- (4)To conclude we want to offer more details to the fans regarding the fight of Muay Farang Captain: Mathias certainly didn’t show his full potential from the first to the last round as he should have done. Mathis, used to fighting in Thai style and not used to the french cold weather, conducted the first 3 rounds of the fight undertone but always controlling his opponent. During the 4th round Mathias warmed up and imponed a rhytm and quantity of shots that the French couldn’t handle. Unfortunately Mathias obtained a penalty point, due to a knee in the groin guard. Mathias stated that he actually hit him in the groin guard the first time, but then after his opponent abused this situation and felt down down accusing fake knees in the genitals. Sources who were at border ring stated that Ayoub went down after he received a liver knee, but instead of being counted he was allowed to recover.

During the full length of the 5th round Ayoub was visibly trying to escape Mathias who was too fresh and too dangerous for him. This is what different sources stated, however we are waiting to view the video that will remove any doubt. Even the verdict was 2 to 1 for Ayoub and this shows that one of the 3 judges didn’t feel appropriate to steal the victory from a boy who yesterday merited to be paid for his braveness and professionality. Mathias has always had big defect: he’s always the “stranger”. In Thailand he’s the “farang” and in Europe he is the Italian/Thai and so he never fights at home and has always to do more to win, and win to score a draw (see the fight against Rungravee), but to lose when he actually won, is very disappointing.
